If it rains on your wedding day, you will shed many tears during your married life. If you sweep under someone's feet, they will never marry. If a girl steps over a broom lying on the floor, she will never marry. If a girl sits on a table, she will be an old maid. It will bring good luck if a bride makes her own wedding dress. Peel an apple in one long peeling. Throw the peeling over your right shoulder and it will form the initial of your future mate. If you sleep in a strange house, name each of the four corners of the bedroom after a person you know. The corner you are looking at when you wake up will be the name of the person you will marry.
